All about Gardening, Flowers and Gnomes 

This month our classroom blossomed with excitement as we explored the wonderful world of gardening, flowers, and gnomes! The children go to learn and discover how plants grow and thrive.

We began by planting our very own seeds, giving us the opportunity to learn about the plant life cycle. Our class planted broccoli, peppers, peas, and lettuce. 

Our dramatic play area transformed into a charming flower shop, where the children practiced imaginative play by creating beautiful bouquets. Along the way, we also learned about different types of plants and flowers, expanding our knowledge of the natural world.

Creativity was in full bloom this month! The children created flower art using a variety of shapes, allowing them to explore design and patterns in a fun and colorful way. They also built magical gnome and fairy homes, using their imaginations to design cozy little spaces. One of their favorite projects was making Venus fly traps out of plate, each one uniquely decorated and full of personality!

We were so lucky to have our intern lead a special art project focused on creativity. The children explored self expression through collage, using different materials to create one of a kind masterpieces.

This month also included meaningful community experiences. We had special visitors come read to our class. 

To wrap up our month, we enjoyed a wonderful Family Partnership Day at Marbles! It was such a joy to see families come together, and everyone who attended had an amazing time exploring and playing.

We are so proud of all the learning, creativity, and growth that happened this month. Next month, we will dive into the exciting world of pond life. We can’t wait to see what we discover together!
