🌲 Winter Trees, Woodland Friends & Holiday Cheer 🌲

December was a short but very sweet month in our classroom! Our theme focused on winter trees and woodland animals, and we spent a lot of time exploring these ideas through art. The students loved getting creative and expressing themselves through different art projects inspired by the winter season.

This month, we also saw so much growth as students continued settling in and really mastering our daily schedule and routines. It has been wonderful watching their confidence grow and seeing how comfortable they are becoming in the classroom.

One of the most exciting moments of the month was a very special visit from Santa Claus! The students were beyond excited, and it made our holiday season feel extra magical.

We wrapped up December with a fun and festive spirit by celebrating Festive Week, where students enjoyed wearing ugly sweaters, Christmas flannels, and pajamas. It was a joyful way to end the month and head into winter break feeling happy and connected.

As we head into January, our theme will continue with winter trees while also exploring arctic animals. We’re excited to dive into new learning, hands-on activities, and creative projects as we start the new year together!

We’re looking forward to another wonderful month of learning and growth ❄️🤍

Pete the Cat Helped Us Rock Our First Month of School!  September was such an exciting month as we kicked off a brand-new school year. We learned all about making friends, exploring our classroom, and getting into the groove of school routines. To make it even more fun, we had a Pete the Cat theme, because starting school is all about rocking our shoes, trying new things, and keeping a positive attitude. We’re off to a groovy start, and we can’t wait to share all the fun learning ahead and all the fun activities we did this month! September was all about learning how to be part of our school family and getting into the rhythm of our daily routines. The children worked hard to practice important skills that help our day run smoothly like washing hands when we arrive, sitting down together for breakfast, gathering for circle time, and heading outside to play and being able to sit for fun art activities. October Blog: Exploring Nocturnal Animals and the Starry Sky!                 October was such a wonderful month in our classroom! The children are really starting to settle into our daily routine and becoming more familiar with our class schedule. This month brought lots of exciting activities and new experiences. We began music therapy, social group time, speech therapy, and even dog therapy and the kids adjusted beautifully to all the changes!                We also had some extra-special events this month. Our Halloween trick-or-treating day was a big hit, parents joined us, and the kids had so much fun showing off their costumes and collecting treats around the school.
